Young Lacemakers / Early Years in Lacemaking

Early Years in Lacemaking is the new name for Young Lacemakers (YLM)

Whether you are under 18 or over, it doesn’t matter – you can get involved.  We are keen to support beginners by providing:

  • classes for young people up to the age of 18 – tutoring in the basic skills.  This takes place fortnightly (during term time) at Waitrose Community Centre, 38 Comely Bank Road, Edinburgh EH4 1AW
  • a chance for adult learners interested in learning to ‘come and try’
  • patterns for the level required and/or a video of ‘basic stitches’
  • the loan of lace pillows and associated equipment

Plus we have our YLM Gallery (above) to showcase items produced by our beginners.
